Good Food

Hello again!

I was unable to blog yesterday but it was a very exciting day filled with all kinds of interesting foods! For lunch we had our first real experience with street food. We went to a place with a few tables on the sidewalk that had some sort of soup and noodles. The noodles were a thin layer that was fried and then filled with things like corn, bean sprouts, scallions, etc (as need below in the metal bowls). It was amazing and so filling!

Then for dinner we went to a restaurant near our hotel where we got some good ol' american food, such as avocado toast (below) and chicken caeser salad (not pictured). It was also very delicious and tasted just like home!

Last we decided to check out Khao San Road, "the travelers hub of Southeast Asia". It's basically a road in downtown Bangkok full of bars, restaurants, street food, venders, and much more. It is also known for fried scorpions and tarantulas for visitors to eat! Some of my colleagues tried these little snacks, I did not. Sorry for the not so good quality pictures but you get the idea! We walked around, stopped at a bar, had a few beers and enjoyed the night. It's definitely a must see if you're ever in the area and if you're daring enough to try these little buggers.

Thats all for now, stay tuned for more adventures!
