Good afternoon readers,
Today was a very long but entertaining day. We visited a hospital and got a brief overview and tour because tomorrow we will be able to complete rounds with some of the students/staff. We then continued our journey to the Lays chip factory which included a quick pit stop at a temple. The temple was beautiful and I throughly enjoyed how it was not packed at all (considering it was a week day). Before the factory we went to Lamphun Provincial Health Center where they gave us a lecture on the way Thailand conducts their medication safety and efficacy and how they monitor for it; basically its the Thailand FDA. We finally made it to the Lays factory where we got all gowned up and got to see the process of how chips are made from the different flavors, to the ridges vs flat to even seeing how theres such a thing as a defected chip. It didnt involve pharmacy at all but it was super cool and different to see. All in all today was super informative and yummy!
Till next time,
Carly Wershoven
