สวัสดี (Hello!)
I am super excited to have FINALLY made it to Thailand to start my first pharmacy rotation. So much has already happened in just the first few days academically and culturally. One of the most memorable things that I have experienced so far being across the world is how kind and appreciative the people are. Whether you are bargaining with them for lower prices on goods or seeing patients come in and out of the 'doctors office', everyone seems so thankful. Today (June 6th) was the first day that we actually got to sit in on some patients doctor visits and got to see first hand how they handle/treat them. We had lectures in the morning pertaining to leprosy and mycetoma followed by seeing the patients who have actually been diagnosed with these diseases. It has been very eye opening to see how these people respond to their doctors and even us students in the way of how open they are to letting us know about their medical history. Today made me very excited for whats to come! Tune in for more riveting experiences brought to you by my Thailand times! ลาก่อน (Goodbye!)
