So tonight was a pretty low key night and we decided to go out for dinner to a place where we have already gone before, its called Cabbages and Condoms. Yep, you read that right! This is one of the most unique restaurants I have ever been to. The backstory of the restaurant is truly fascinating. There was an HIV/AIDS epidemic in the area and a man named, Mechai Viravaidya believed that condoms should be more readily available for the people of Thailand and that it would also help population control in the 70s and in turn promote quality of life. This place started as a food stand that had a catchy name and now it is one of the most popular restaurants in Bangkok.
P.S. They have quite the gift shop!
