Hello everybody!
Michael here. Today we learned more about traditional Thai medicine. Traditional Thai medicine is used as a complement to modern medicine. Some examples of traditional medicine include acupuncture, massage, cupping therapy, and the use of thousands of herbal remedies. We went to the Center of Thai Traditional and Complementary Medicine here in Chiang Mai. Anthony Gutto volunteered to be the guinea pig again and chose to receive acupuncture. Jono (Dr. Balk) volunteered to receive cupping therapy as well. At the end of the day they taught us how to make our own massage balls, which are filled with traditional herbs (and they smell great!). Unfortunately, they didn't offer if any of us wanted to volunteer for a Thai traditional massage.
