Hello!
We had a busy day today! We visited another
hospital here in Chiang Mai, then we visited the Lay's chip plant where
they make potato chips. The hospital was impressive, and we saw how busy
hospital pharmacies are here in Thailand. The outpatient pharmacies
fill over 1000 prescriptions daily.
Pharmacists
actually work at food plants, such as the Lay's factory, and are in
charge of inspections for food safety. Pharmacists obviously don't do
that in the United States. I thought it was cool that pharmacists have a
larger role here in regards to food safety. They wouldn't allow us to
take pictures so I can't post any!
We also visited a
dental clinic where the same pharmacist (Public health officer) does
inspections. His job is to ensure the advertisements are legitimate for
their operation, the building is safe, and cost for services is fair.
Enjoy these pictures I took today! Talk to you tomorrow!
