Hello everyone, I wanted to do a quick recap of yesterday. The day started out with another hospital tour as we learned about the in-patient and out-patient work flow. I find it interesting how busy the hospital pharmacies are than the standard community pharmacies we are used to. Throughout my experiences here, the community pharmacies have been very slow while the outpatient hospital pharmacies have always been busy, totally opposite of the States. Today I found out that the prices tend to be cheaper in hospital pharmacies, and another fun fact is that pharmacists here get paid monthly.
We made a quick stop at a private dental clinic that specialized in root canals and teeth extracts. This place was by far one of the most expensive places we have visited and we also visited a Buddhist temple.
The highlight of the day was visiting the Lays chip factory. The students were given a brief introduction and then got to tour the factory to see the entire process of how a chip is made from start to finish. Another fun fact: it takes only 1/4 of a potato to make a standard bag of chips. At the end of the day all students were offered free chips!
