Hello world,
I have a few minutes before the rest of the group is ready to head out for dinner, so I figured I would write a quick post. First of all, let me talk about the food here for a minute. The food here is amazing, and although I cheated and ate corn flakes for breakfast today, I've been very good at mostly eating Thai food. Mango sticky rice is one of my favorites, and I've fallen in love with Chang beer.
Now onto school related things. The picture above was taken at Bamrasnaradura Infectious Diseases Institute. I was demonstrating to the group how to properly wear personal protective equipment when dealing with tuberculosis patients. This hospital is very advanced as they now have negative pressure rooms, which keep infectious air inside the room with the patient. The biggest thing I learned today was that tuberculosis medication and HIV medication are free of charge for Thai citizens, and I think that is pretty cool.
