As you've probably seen from previous posts, we spent this past Sunday learning how to cook a few of our favorite Thai dishes. Each of us were able to choose one dish from each category (see below)-- we made a total of 7 dishes each!!
The Asia Scenic Cooking School did such a great job planning the day for us. We started with a trip to the local market to learn about all the different ingredients that will go into our meals for the day. After, we were given a tour of the fields where all our fresh herbs and produce were picked.
A picture of us picking butterfly pea to make mango sticky rice!
We worked really hard cutting up our ingredients for each dish. A mortar and pestle was used to make curry paste!
Halfway, we were allotted a two-hour break-- I took a nice nap on a hammock :)
This entire day of cooking was such a fun experience! All of our food tasted absolutely AMAZING & the best part is, we were all gifted a cookbook of all the recipes to bring home. Hope you're not hungry because here are pics of some of the delicious things I cooked
Papaya Salad
Tom Yum Soup
Khao Soy
Mango Sticky Rice!
Thanks for reading-- goodnight!
